Bentonville - (Ark.) The last week in February, a group of 20 individuals from our church traveled to Honduras to do medical missionary work and evangelism. God blessed by getting all 20 members of the mission team, our luggage, and clinical supplies though security and customs quickly and with very little problems at each airport.

$1,000,000 in pledges ignites plans for North Dallas Adventist Academy: North Dallas Adventist Academy - (Tex.) Our culturally-rich congregation includes over 40 different countries of origin among its membership of more than 800. Although we run a pre-K through 12th grade school, we have long desired to establish a new, separate high school in the North Dallas area. As we considered various sites suitable for a new high school, the Texas Conference was very enthusiastic about the property at 302 Centennial Blvd in Richardson, pledging $500,000 toward the project. An anonymous donor from the Richardson congregation quickly matched that donation with an additional $500,000. On the tide of the $1,000,000 in pledges and with $300,000 in the new school fund, the enthusiastic congregation voted overwhelmingly to proceed with the purchase. Additional pledges totaling over $300,000 from the congregation continue to come in.

Sandia View Academy - (Corrales, N.Mex.) Last fall our students began planning for a mission trip, which would allow them to work with the ShareHim organization in presenting four evangelistic campaigns. With a lot of work and sacrifice, the money was raised and the students left for Nicaragua on March 4, 2008.

Camp Yorktown Bay - Katrina, a sixth-grade student at the Mountain Home Seventh-day Adventist School in Arkansas, wrote on her evaluation card, "Outdoor School should be two weeks instead of one!" We believe ODS is the favorite time of the year for many ARKLA students in grades 5-8. The 167 students and sponsors who met at Camp Yorktown Bay April 14-18, had a wonderful time learning in the outdoors, meeting new friends, and spending time with their best Friend, Jesus.

Ketchum - (Okla.) Pictured here are Luke and Nicholas Toews, two winners of the annual Pine Car Derby. Nicholas won the funniest car award, and Luke won the safe car award. We thought Luke won because his car was so slow, but the kids said that it was because it had a guy with a protective duck tube around him. This event is held at the Ketchum church gymnasium annually, and all of the Oklahoma Conference is invited. Children and adults of all ages can enter this contest.
