The rewards are worth the effort
There’s a reason they call it an evangelistic effort. A lot of work goes into an evangelistic campaign. But that work is rewarding, and the rewards are eternal.
This year, we’ve encouraged our Southwestern Union employees to get involved in evangelism at a personal level. Many from within our walls are rolling up their sleeves to join the effort and personally preach a series.
From Oklahoma to South Texas; from Albuquerque to New Orleans; in Africa and in the Philippines, we have lay preachers stepping out of their comfort zones to share the Good News.
And the good news is that when we are weak, He is strong. No matter how far we’ve fallen, there is hope. His mercy endures forever, and His love knows no bounds. The many baptisms recorded in heaven’s books represent those hearts that have embraced that hope, claiming it as their own.
It’s not about how good a speaker you are, or whether you have eloquent delivery. It’s about letting God work through you to reap the harvest. We plant the seeds; the Holy Spirit waters them; and the Lord of the Harvest gathers them in.
Yes, it is an effort. But when we labor together with the Master, the effort is worthwhile. Won’t you join us?
